Biography
French photographer Fred Meylan has built a notably enduring and respected career in fashion imagery. Having completed his military service as a photographer, he began his professional journey at the Sygma Agency, before turning his lens toward portraiture and later fashion, capturing icons such as Monica Bellucci, Uma Thurman, Penélope Cruz, Christy Turlington and Kendall Jenner.
Meylan has closely collaborated with Zadig & Voltaire since the early 2000s, helping forge the brand’s bold visual identity and shaping the image of the Zadig woman.
He has established a distinctive visual language defined by elegance, authenticity and an instinctive ability to capture women in the present moment. Meylan has collaborated with leading international houses including Cartier, Clarins, Ba&sh, Lancaster, Bucherer, Nike, Lacoste, Eric Bompard and Zara. His lifestyle imagery, known for its spontaneity and visceral energy, has earned him acclaim throughout the fashion and luxury industries.
Today, Fred continues to lead global campaigns while running his own studio in Paris’s 1st arrondissement.
